"Encontrei a Casa da Madeira por um acaso e sem dúvida que correspondeu ao que procurava. A casinha é muito acolhedora, com todas as comodidades e com uma lareira/recuperador que tornaram o ambiente de Inverno mágico. A marcação do pequeno-almoço com antecedência relembra a importância da sustentabilidade e do desperdício zero. No fim, tivemos a sorte de ver veados e a raposa a passear pela aldeia."

"I liked the hotel and its surroundings, a good place for families; I didn’t like the breakfast, as it wasn’t very varied and they didn't replenish things that had run out; the water in the indoor pool was cold; I booked the hotel by purchasing a bookinxisto experience with tickets to the Biological Park and Ecumenical Temple for 2 adults; I got tickets on check in at the hotel but I had problems at the Temple entrance because they said I had to pay for an adult ticket when the experience included a night at the hotel and a ticket for the Biological Park + Temple for 2 adults; I think all services should be informed that there might be customers with this type of voucher, which was not the case...."

"Tivemos vários percalços durante o alojamento, desde atraso na receção, reserva total da casa (5 quartos) mas a casa tinha mais gente a percorrer a mesma. Indica que cozinha é partilhada, mas o objetivo não era ser utilizada pelos hóspedes (posteriormente esvaziaram o frigorífico e cederam-nos a cozinha, fogão e forno,etc, o que nos atrasou o usufruto da piscina). Piscina com água verde e foi esvaziada antes de terminar o nosso alojamento. Pequeno almoço servido com bolos caseiros e pão fresquinho. Após os vários percalços, foi nos devolvido o valor do alojamento para usufruir nas aldeias do xisto. Neste local específico, será a não repetir!"

"An amazing experience. The way the village community welcomed us was quite extraordinary. They made us feel like we belonged there and very welcome. The cod with cabbage is very good and the visit to the wine cellars was exceptional. The best thing was spending time with all the people of the area. We loved it and if we get the chance we'll be back for sure next year."
