"Thanks for the wonderful stay in Pampilhosa da Serra and special thanks to the excellent staff of the Villa Pampilhosa Hotel and the chef and the whole team at the Buke restaurant. We had an excellent, relaxing stay. We loved the room, the cleanliness, the quiet, the wonderful SPA circuit and the robes and towels thoughtfully provided for enjoyment of the Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. The hotel staff helped us plan our visit to the aldeias de xisto, river beaches and the Santa Luzia reservoir we managed to see everything in a single day. The meals at the hotel were also wonderful as were the breakfasts. We really want to go back, mainly for the friendly people and the peace and quiet. Congratulations. Thank you. "

"A Casa das Bugalhas é exatamente como nas fotos e era o que eu procurava para as minhas férias. No meio da natureza, acolhedora, bem equipada, com uma varanda que fez as delícias da família tanto no lazer como nas pequenas refeições. Adoramos a zona dos grelhador onde os grelhados foram reis acompanhado pela pela linda vista sobre Candal. Aconselho vivamente! Para mim, espero voltar... "

"Very cosy, super comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. An excellent kitchen which was great for making lovely meals. The village is fantastic for a rest and for nice walks down to the river. We had the opportunity to meet some locals, it was excellent. We could not have had a better welcome from our hosts, Olga and Rui, who are super friendly and made us feel at home. We’ll definitely be going again! "

"As aldeias do xisto são de visita obrigatória, tal como a serra da Lousã. Adorámos os trilhos dos Abutres e a beleza e dureza da enquadramento paisagístico. O hotel PHSL é magnífico e fomos muito bem recebidos por todo o staff. Para o ano voltaremos para a prova, mas é mesmo muito provável que voltemos antes para desfrutar do magnificência do loca. "It was a wonderful, unique experience. The Casas do Rio are great, very comfortable and a stunning landscape... The day we spent with our guide Antonio was full of learning and discovery of beautiful sites. The food was all very good, mainly in Fajão, at restaurant O Pascoal, traditional food, great portions and high quality. I recommend it to everybody who likes nature and wants a quiet and beautiful place for the whole family or for a couple. Many thanks to Claudia, who took care of everything for me and to her husband and our guide Antonio."

"Comfortable home, nicely decorated, with a log burner for warmth. The silence is only broken by the stream outside and the birdsong. Everything invites you to rest and get back to nature. We walked round the village, we went to the oven and the fountain, we went along the Cascatas trail, which was very beautiful and well-marked, we walked on the Penedo Furado walkway, and sample the cod dishes at the Vila de Rei food festival. We could not have felt more welcomed by the friendly couple who made us feel completely at home. D. Benvinda made a couple of lovely cakes, one sponge and the other coconut, and a warm cornbread loaf that was just delightful with butter... We put on a few ounces... But it was worth it. It was a shame we couldn’t stay longer, but we left with the desire to return. A big thank you!"
