Tutored by Peter Lanyon, you will learn how to handle the different hand tools to prepare the various pieces that make up your work and at the end join them together and take home a new piece of furniture.
This year, we will have a third day, specially dedicated to learn how to sharpen and maintain your tools. Well sharpende and cared tool are fundamental to the success of our work. If you have some good old chisels at home you want to bring back to life, just bring them with you!

- From 10am to 6pm (two hour lunch break);
May 6th: sharpening of woodworking tools.
The course fee includes:
• Integration in a small workgroup (up to 10 participants in total)
• Training 5-6 hours a day, speaking in English and with support in Portuguese;
• Sharpening tools day (May 6th);
• Lunch on course days;
• All the materials needed for the course;
• Free accommodation in our hostel during the course (upon availability). The hostel is equipped with a dormitory, kitchen, shared bathrooms, washing machine, towels, bed linen, and wi-fi;
• 10% discount on the base rate when booking an individual house (minimum of 2 nights). The base rate refers to a stay of 2 people and includes breakfast, equipped kitchen, towels, bed linen, and wi-fi.
Cancellation policy:
You may withdraw within 14 days of registration, paying the correspondent transfer fees. Following the EU consumer protection legislation, payments are not refunded past 14 days of registration. The payment will be fully reimbursed if the training cannot be held because of insufficient students.

Lanyon works primarily with local cut wood and fallen trees. Its philosophy is that of minimal intervention - imposing as little as possible on the materials and leaving the curves as smooth as nature itself created them.
